Common Law Ex Parte Applications - From Monday 2nd November 2020

From Monday the 2nd November 2020 there will be a weekly list for Common Law ex parte application that are capable of being heard remotely.

To move an application you must first email the Central Office at dublincivillaw@courts.ie and make an appointment to file the grounding affidavit(s) and lodge the papers. Once the papers have been filed and lodged in the Central Office, a soft copy should be emailed to commonlawexparte@courts.ie with the Record Number and “Common Law ex parte” in the subject line.

The papers must be filed in the Central Office and emailed to commonlawexparte@courts.ie no later than 4.30 p.m. on the preceding Thursday.

 A bound, paginated and indexed booklet must be lodged in the Principal Registrar’s Office no later than 4.30 p.m. on the preceding Thursday.

No late applications will be accepted.

The Virtual Courtroom Number and relevant instructions will be made available each Friday to members through the Law Society of Ireland and the Bar of Ireland websites at the links below.

Judicial Review Ex Parte Applications

With effect from Monday the 2nd November 2020 all applications for leave to apply ex parte by way of application for judicial review will be heard remotely where they are capable of being heard remotely.

Papers for the said applications must be filed and lodged in the Central Office by 4.30pm on the preceding Thursday.

You must contact the Central Office at dublincivillaw@courts.ie to make an appointment to file papers in advance of attending Court. 

Once papers have been filed in the Central Office, a soft copy (in Word form) of the Affidavit(s) and Statement of Grounds should be forwarded to hcmotions@courts.ie with Judicial Review ex parte in the subject line by 4.30pm on the preceding Thursday.

A bound, paginated and indexed booklet must be lodged in the Principal Registrar’s Office no later than 4.30 p.m. on the preceding Thursday.
